Last year, we premiered Mike Arnold’s part from the Skateboard Cafe video “Alfresco,” showing off some lesser-seen (AKA non-London) UK spots and a style of skating that immediately captured our attention. How had we not heard of the guy prior to this? If you were like us and looking at weird eating videos instead of paying attention to him too, check his part out here before you go any further.
We got a follow up email recently from a reader informing us that Mike actually gets creative behind the lens just as much as he does in front of it. Apart from filming for his own parts, Mike’s got his own ongoing web series called High Tide featuring a bunch of Bristol locals, soundtracked by an eclectic mix of music that makes up the perfect backdrop to the cobblestone, cloudy streets of the UK.
We hit up Mike to see if he’d be down to put a track list together for us with the same vibe as his edits, and instead he went ahead and whipped up the whole hour-long mix for us himself.
Stream it below, and, if you’re into it, make sure you download the mix here while you can.
More Mixes? Check out: Bill Strobeck, Blondey McCoy, Louie Lopez, Nora Vasconcellos, Alltimers, Rodrigo TX, Stefan Janoski, Franky Villani, Pass~Port skateboards, The 69 Mix, Beagle, LurkNYC, Bam Margera, Mike Arnold, Jason Sallilas, or Kevin Rodrigues.
