Bill Strobeck’s knack for finding the least expected songs that some how work great with skating is unmatched. Remember when he used a Charles Manson song in a black and white New York edit? Or flowed from soda fountain oldies, to heavy Bad Brains, to Chicago drill music in JOYRIDE? Bill’s mix has a similar surprising quality. Deep digs into obscure rock riffs, trancey pop songs, and classic hip-hop tracks that all go down smoother than expected.
This mix is easy to get into, and as I keep listening I find it sort of gluing me to my chair. It takes me to a pretty introspective place, but at the end lets me ease out of it. The perfect mix for staying at home and kicking it by yourself.
Stream Strobeck’s mix below, and if you’re into it, download it here while you can.
