Temperatures in New York are hitting the 60s this week, and life is coming back into the city. Days are getting longer, clothes are getting lighter, and people are looking for some action. It seems like our “winter” was cut shorter than everybody had expected but we’re not complaining, since we won’t have to bundle up in two jackets just to go skate a curb with pebbles and salt around it. Regardless of the unusually-bearable weather we’ve had this season, Skate Nights kept up with business as usual over at Black Bear Bar in Williamsburg.
For our last night, KCDC helped organize a Lance Dawes (founder of SLAP Magazine) photoshow with HUF to show off some of his photo gems. HUF helped us out with a free open bar as well as a bunch of bags of goodies too. As usual, Black Bear was an ideal place to kick back and avoid the cold, whether you were planning on dropping in yourself or just watching other people get sweaty for the night.
Check out some photos from this year’s final Skate Night below. Special thanks to everyone at KCDC Skateshop, NY Skateboarding, HUF and KR3W for having us be a part of this once again. See you all again next year.
