WHAT WENT DOWN AT OSKI’S NEW CONTEST IN MALMO, SWEDEN

Europe has become the regional contest capital of skating, and we’re all for it. The Europeans know how to do it right, taking out all of the scoring and judging, and just focusing on what we all really care about the most — watching some incredible skating, hanging around our favorite pros and making it a party.

Just a few months ago, we visited Helsinki for the HELride, we’ve done CPH Pro a few times, and now Oskar Rozenberg has thrown his hat in the ring to give the continent another chaotic and fun-filled weekend of skating. Dubbed the Oski Blast, this new contest was a weekend filled with numerous “challenges” where a bunch of Oski’s closest homies skated in a jam style event, free of charge for all the locals to come and check out. It’s a perfect cap off to a summer that hopefully, will become an annual tradition.

We were unable to make the trip out ourselves, but luckily SKF helped link us up with the incredibly talented Tor Ström to work with us on this one. If you haven’t checked out his work before, make sure you peep his great project that just dropped on Place earlier this week. He came through with some good shit and gave us all some serious FOMO with his recap.
