Plenty of professional skateboarders put their private lives on absolute blast on social media. Tom K isn’t one of them.
Before he sent us this mix, all I really knew about Tom was that he won SLAP’s One In A Million back in 2009, he was born in Serbia, and he skated to Fugazi in his Zero Cold War part (RESPECT +). Despite that song choice, I just assumed Tom’s mix would be all European house bangers. I was dead wrong.
Tom’s mix taught me that he has a thing for David Byrne, so much so that “This Must Be the Place” played at his wedding. And that he’s a grade A doodler (peep the flawless drawing of our own Ian Michna in the corner). I guess the moral of the story is that we can still rely safely on the middle school standard of judging others solely on their music choices. Adulthood is a scam!
Check out Tom’s mix below, and if you dig it, download it here while you can.
