I know you’re probably sick of hearing about it by now but if for some reason you were logged off of the internet this week, we just released a board with Cliche skateboards and legendary artist Sean Cliver.
To celebrate the successful peace treaty Jenkem brokered between the United States, Russia, and North Korea (and the release of the Sean Cliver illustrated Cliché deck that portrays that shit-fueled negotiation), we threw a party at Max Fish in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Despite the rainy weather, the turn out was strong and the atmosphere was, drunk, to say the least.
A big big thank you to all that came out to celebrate with us, perhaps these pictures will help you piece together the hazier moments of the night…

The artist Sean Cliver was there selling prints, autographing decks, and signing your body. At some point a drunk dude tried to steal six of the forty silkscreened and signed boards we made. Cliver ran out of the bar and somehow caught up to him. Luckily the drunken slow-footed thief handed the boards back without much of a hassle…

Al Davis and Jason Spivey with two other hipper-than-thou dudes managed to find an area to keep it low key in a corner of the bar.

The master of the Jenkem Mix Series, Mike Bloom, was playing tunes with his bodyguard on watch.

“OMG, Becky, I can’t believe you got Nestor Judkin’s number. I’m so jells!”

Lee Smith looking like Malcolm X and Joey Brezinski looking like Alvin the Chipmunk.

The roommates: Ian Michna, John Baragwanath and Richard Quintero, who filmed the board promo video.

Russell, a key contributor and intern was there repping the Toy Machine rip-off shirt and holding up the drink line.

Some OG decks came out of the closet that night.

NYC OG Alex Corporan and friends stopped by for a quick one.

Asking the dude who is famous for obscene skate graphics to draw something in permanent marker on your arm is either a really good idea or a really bad one…

Welp, whaddya know? Cliver drew a dick! I really hope she went and got this tatted in for posterity.

German Nieves, the mastermind behind the brand Paterson stopped by. Expect a Jenkem Mix with him soon.

Ian, Jeremy of Ripped Laces and Rich created a three man “moshpit” as Skepta’s track Shutdown started blaring.

Girls, girls, girls, girls, girls I do adooore.

The Cliché crew and Sean Cliver sobered up enough to pose for this picture to send to their moms.
