For Jenkem Mix 05 we switched it up a bit. Instead of asking another pro for his favorite songs at the moment, we went through Alien Workshop’s history and pulled a couple of nostalgic gems. Hopefully in this little mix, sprinkled with static and video samples we were able to harness some of the magic of the Workshop.

More Mixes? Check out Riley Hawk, Anthony Pappalardo, Jim Greco, or John Cardiel.

Really? No Little Ethnic Song (used both in Memory Screen and the 411 VM industry section), one Dinosaur Jr. song? That is music that introduced the alien aesthetic without doubt and J Mascis specifically created custom music for Mindfield. Adolescents? The Roots?
This is “Alien Workshop mix for people who don’t know what Alien Workshop is.”
