One thing we’ll always respect about the gang at Baker Boys is their ability to curate a team. Famous for picking skateboarding’s top talent early, a cosign from the Boys can act as a jetpack for anyone with a desire to fly.
Yuri Facchini has the desire, and after many years on the semi-conscious Almost Skateboards team, he found a new home amongst the heavy Deathwish crew, introduced in epic fashion during Baker Has A Deathwish Part 2.
Since that move, Yuri’s been having a She’s All That moment.
Adorned with two gold teeth, Yuri’s hardflip combinations, masterful pinch, and otherworldly pop have captured a whole new crop of fans. And after shutting down Deathwish’s latest video, whispers of his name seemed inescapable.
Because of this, we hightailed it over to Baker Boys to spend the day with Yuri. Along the way we got testaments from Beagle and Ellington, checked out some waist-high spots, and spent some time with his family. Enjoy.
