There are a million-and-one ways in the skateboard dictionary to say, “That was impressive.” Adjectives such as “gnarly,” “buck,” or “insane” call out tricks that are especially dangerous, mind-bendingly complex, or both. Tricks can even be upgraded to “hammers” or “bangers” if they overshadow everything in a video or become defining within that skateboarder’s career. But for milder tricks we have “sick,” “rad,” and, my personal favorite: “heavy.”
I wonder how challenging it would be to do tricks that are “heavy” in the skate lingo sense while also being heavy in the literal sense. Skating with chub adds a layer of difficulty to everything, so we figured it was time to show some love to the heavy hitters out there doing heavy tricks, heavily.
So we’re proud to present “The Heaviest Part of All Time,” an inspirational celebration of strictly Heavy Skaters. If anyone ever says you’re too big to skate, pull up this video to show ’em how it’s done. These them Heavy, Heavy Hitters…
