Skateboarding in New York City has been pretty slow the last couple of years. Sure, there are a lot of new, talented transplants making their mark, but where’s the next generation of born and bred NYC skaters?
We found them, and their names are 14-year-old Ari Misurelli and 16-year-old Luca Mayer.
Best friends, Ari and Luca are two of the most promising NYC talents right now. They are consistently street skating, crushing events, and are keeping skateboarding exciting for a generation we seemingly missed.
If these two stick with it, we have no problem betting that they’ll be the next big names out of the city, and we were lucky enough to catch them right before they arrive.

Sweet as honey—it reminds me of a time when we were all just completely sober kids, collapsing into bed exhausted after a long day on the board, only to dream of the tricks we’d land the next day… thanks, Jenkem. Long live skateboarding!

They are so good I hope Fatbill never makes them potheads and ruins their skating forever
