Just about everyone remembers when the curtains opened to Supreme’s Cherry. A young Kevin Bradley, standing next to the godfather, The Gonz, prepping us for a video that would usher in a new generation of iconic faces to skateboarding.
I expressed the impact this video had on me while introducing the last mix, but we thought we’d keep the Supreme wave going for Jenkem Mix 155, curated by none other than the back tail king, KB.
Who can forget his monumental takeover, alongside Nakel and Tyshawn, Ben and Aidan, where he’d be rocking a sought after Supreme 5-panel hat, patterned pants, and then float a perfect, big ass bigspin over some set. From his closeout part in Illegal Civ 2 to his coming of age part in SB Chronicles 3, KB made his name known.
And while some have been disappointed with his footage output over the years or his love of online ranting, it’s important to remember what we do have: a 13 song mix full of Depeche Mode, Chili Peppers, Gang Starr and E-40. Oh yeah, and this beautiful shuv two-piece from a couple months ago.
