There’s a special time in every skateboarders’ life where chaos and hijinx reign supreme. Taking a guess, this time probably lines up with puberty, when hormones effectively light your brain on fire.
Unsurprisingly, this makes for some pretty great content.
If your crew is lucky enough to have someone like Tristan Warren around at the time to capture the blaze, you’d end up with something like “Hijinx Unlimited”, the skate video that catapulted Tristan into the skate videographer zeitgeist.
Featuring a mainly unknown list of skaters, this video became an instant cult classic. But… this was back in 2017.
Since then, Tristan has kept his fanbase intact with videos that document the growth, both metaphorically and physically, of skaters like Kader Sylla, Sunny Suljic and Avi Malina.
Most recently, Tristan has made the ballsy decision to join the board brand rat race, coining Medieval Skateboards. Intrigued, we followed Tristan around Santa Monica for a few days and chatted maturing, the lifecycle of an edgy online video, and Medieval.
