As the year comes to a close, it’s a good time to look back at all you’ve accomplished. For us, we’re proud to have put out 12 mixes this year, and since we’re once again dropping a mix around the time of the Spotify Wrapped hysteria, we thought we’d bring you another attempt at a Jenkem Mix Wrapped.
Check it out below.
Your top played mix was Sean Pablo, with a close second being Kevin Bradley. While it’s been a while since these two dominated a Supreme video, it’s clear their imprint on the culture was made in permanent ink.
You discovered three new bands this year, first by listening to Horse Jumper of Love, then Hotline TNT, and finally TAGABOW. We sincerely appreciate you guys being open to more bands taking the reigns as we diversify our mix alumni.
You gave the most love to Jeff Cecere’s inclusion of Dean Blunt as well as Niontay’s nod to This Mortal Coil. You were also reminded of your love for Agent Orange via Ruby Lilley, put on to Catalyst via Quinn Batley, and learned about the musical influences of Billy Strings.
Overall, we would describe your listening habits as adventurous, which is great, because our final mix of the year is brought to you by none other than Pittsburgh indie darlings Feeble Little Horse.
Vulnerable, at times crippling lyrics that you can sing along to endlessly characterize this young four piece band. Add in dreamy, fast paced melodies that have the tendency to transform unpredictably as well as digitally fuzzy guitars and you have a band that’s all their own.
For Jenkem Mix 160, Feeble Little Horse curated a 20 track epic, formatted as a five question, multiple choice test that lets you know which member of the band you are most sonically alike. Featuring Cate Le Bon, Hole, and fakemink, it’s as diverse as it is creative.
Anyways, if you’re still here, thanks for listening to your Jenkem Mix Wrapped, and we hope you enjoy Feeble Little Horse’s Strong Big Mix.
As always, click HERE to download or forever hold your peace.
