Will Mahony is a complex enigma: Have A Great Day Magazine CEO, accidental social media sensation, DJ, self-proclaimed rockstar… the list goes on.
By now, the Queens native might’ve graced your feed — and in this day and age, when doomscrolling is nearly unavoidable, Will is like burning sage in a void full of soulless, blood-sucking influencers.
He strikes the difficult balance between degeneracy and lovability — and we gravitated toward his antics and decision to start a print magazine in this day and age.
Have A Great Day Mag released its first issue in 2020, and we’ve been following his work since. So when we finally met Will in a shitty dive bar and he told us about issue #6 and the two and a half years that went into making it, we started filming.
Follow along as we check in with Will throughout the production and release of the latest issue, and get a look inside what it’s like making an independent print magazine in 2025.
