Recently, we saw that Keith Hardy (aka Shredmaster Keith) had taken a trip to Bulgaria, of all places. Even more surprising, he was on that trip with a brand called Stinky Socks. The owner of Stinky, Risto Petkov, reached out to us shortly after and said he had put together an edit of Keith skating around his home country he wanted to share with us.
Quick history intermission: Bulgaria is an incredibly old country located in Europe right next to Turkey and Greece. Most recently, it was subject to the Soviet Union’s Iron Curtain and was under communist rule up until the 1990s. Since then it’s become a free country and has joined the EU, but it has that post-Soviet feel in some ways still.
If you don’t know Keith by now, he’s a New York native and although LES Skatepark is his home, he looked just as comfortable skating through Balkan plazas and cracking beers with Bulgarian locals, and we’re glad to get to see Keith living up to his “Shredmaster” nickname. We didn’t know what to expect out of the edit, but it was pretty refreshing to not have to look at a cropped-in pair of shoes skating the same old spots in New York.
Watch Keith zip around on this Bulgarian tour through towns like Stara Zagora, Haskovo, and the capital, Sofia and check out some of our favorite flicks from the trip below.

I’ve been a big fan of Shred Master’s skating for awhile now. Stoke to see I’m shredding outside of NYC. Props for choosing a Zero Boys track too. Shaka 🤙🏾
