You may remember a few months back, we released a cooking video featuring Aleka Lang, filmed and edited by his girlfriend Jess Wong. They recently took a break from Vancouver and came to New York for a little skate getaway, and we linked up with them and showed them around our neighborhood.
They both wanted to dig around at some thrift shops and grab some good food, and coincidentally, the area by Jenkem HQ is full of great options for both. We met up and hit a few different thrift stores and ended the day with some ramen after walking around in the brisk December weather. Aleka even managed to film a few tricks despite all the shopping bags.
This was a bit of a one-off idea, but if you’re curious to see what other steals and deals skaters can dig up at the thrifts around Jenk HQ, let us know who you’d like us to go with next and we’ll try to make it happen.

I hate to break it to ya mate, but that ‘Polo Ralph Lauren’ down vest you were hella hyped on is more bootleg than Nas “Illmatic” cassette on Canal Street in ‘94 😆
