Over the weekend, we came across a clip of Jace DeTomasso ollieing down a massive stair set in Miami, FL that looked eerily similar to the old Leap of Faith drop in California.
The internet, being quick as always, dubbed the spot “The Miami Leap of Faith” and began speculating on the size of the drop.
For the uninitiated, the original Leap of Faith is located in San Diego, made famous by Jamie Thomas in his part from Zero’s Thrill of it All. It’s a similarly massive stair set, but unlike Jace, Jamie wasn’t able to roll away from his ollie, but made for a highly celebrated and mythical “non-ender ender.”
Now, decades later, Jace was able to pull off an ollie on a drop people are speculating is bigger, but to put all the curious commenters to bed, they went back and measured the drop to compare it to the OG Leap of Faith. Their findings were surprising, but we won’t ruin those for you, so check the video to find out yourself.
