Curious about what’s going on with 917 and the recent team changes we’ve all heard murmurs of? Us too. We met up with Alex at the park to find out how the brand weathered COVID, what his next steps are and if he still dislikes the words “homie” and “beast”. In times when everyone is hesitant to speak their mind, watching Alex express himself so honestly and bluntly is more refreshing than you might initially expect.

much rather see where you take this as a solo project like Jerry/Sci Fi than another typical skate brand formula. need those to push boundaries for the next wave to follow

Good shit Alex, thanks for not being afraid to speak your mind; it’s a rare trait these days. I especially like the fact that he was able to cop to not being present and admitting that a lack of leadership makes things fall apart. It takes a lot of stones to admit culpability instead of blaming shit on everybody else
