Remember the after credit montages in skate videos? You know, after the VHS tape went black and you’d think the video would be over, only to find one more party montage? Raspa’s Tapes is kind of an homage to that, where we throw our friend and filmer Alex Raspa in random places and watch him get drunken footy.
Sure it might not be the best edited video ever, but he made sure to get himself in plenty of weird places during the Cons world premiere tour and bro down with enough personalities to make this bootleg 8 minute edit of raw uncut moments for your viewing pleasure.
After watching the video, check out Raspa’s letter from abroad:
“Growing up, I would daydream about getting eaten by a whale and shot out the blowhole into the ocean. I think I got pretty close to that feeling when I embarked on the ‘Purple’ premiere tour. I’m in the air for 7 hours, then at the premiere, then we eat, drink, drink again, pretend to sleep and catch the train to the next theater. Miracles happen when everyone is in the van at exactly 9am. So this is how it goes, semi-organized chaos, with some drinking.
‘Purple’ had some artsy, European flavour, and after watching it three different times I’m still processing and enjoying it. France is amazing … French women are amazing. I’m still in France writing this so I guess you can figure out what happened. Enjoy the video then go out and live. Summer is upon us…”
