Nothing quite screams summer in New York like hotdogs and beer, and now that everyone’s god awful puffer jackets have been packed away, I have some big news.
Jenkem’s Second Annual 999 Challenge is here!
If you missed the chaos of last year, let me explain. Birthed on the baseball diamond by frat boys and alcoholic fathers, the 999 is a contest consisting of eating nine hot dogs and drinking nine beers in the span of nine innings.
Being the geniuses we are at Jenk, we replaced the innings with tre flips and gathered at Brooklyn’s Blue Park for 9 hotdogs, 9 beers, and 9 treflips.
What ensued was a special day in Brooklyn. No ramps, no pros, no big shoe sponsors, just a hot grill, a cooler full of ice, and straight flatground tricks. The energy, the puke, the buzzer beater ending. It was captivating.
With support from Pabst Blue Ribbon, the $999 prize money is still in-tact, and since we had more than a week to organize this year, I feel confident in promising it’s going to be a must see event.
Scroll down for the full deets, and if you think you have what it takes to crush some dogs and go for glory fill out the sign up sheet below. See y’all soon!
