That’s right, we teamed up with Popeyes® Louisiana Kitchen to release our own signature dipping sauce, of course called Jenkem Sauce™.
Jenkem Sauce embraces the bold style of East Coast skateboarding by combining smoky BBQ flavor with tangy hints of sweet and salty into a sauce that is only available in select skate shops and Popeyes along the East Coast.
“Skateboarders are often eating on a budget, and Popeyes has always been proud to offer affordable, satisfying meals to skaters for decades,” said Pete Clifford, President of North America. “With this new sauce, we’re showing skateboarders that we’re glad to support them and give them the energy to express themselves creatively, on and off the board.”
When Popeyes initially approached us to get in the skate game, we were hesitant. But food brands used to put skateboarders in commercials all the time, and some still like to holler at skateboarders. So rather than just saying “do a kickflip” in some corny ad, we got more involved and actually made something in the spirit of true partnership.
And to make sure the sauce’s flavors are authentically East Coast, we hit the streets of New York to give folks a taste test.
If you’re on the East Coast, call or visit your local skate shop or Popeyes to see if you can snag a packet. Full details and information in the press release.
Never stop dipping Jenkem Sauce™.
