This happened to me recently while nerding out on Hotline TNT, our curator of Mix 156, because I’m fairly confident lead singer/guitarist Will Anderson and I have been in the same room. If not physically, at least spiritually.

He loves basketball (me too), has done an interview with our buddy Patrick Doran (me too), has had artwork done by Matt Carignan (me too), and believes the Christ Air is the best THPS special move (me too). The similarities go on and on.

Well, except I don’t make sweet ass music.

Yeah, let me tell you about that. Hotline TNT’s music could be described as shoegaze, but since that term is far too broad, I’ll describe what it feels like. It feels like discovering a life-altering secret and then running through a misty sunshower towards some unknown future.

The band is heavily built upon DIY ethics, with an emphasis on supporting local venues and the small but mighty few that fight to protect artists. Their artistic direction could put any number of board graphics to shame, and if I know our audience, which I like to think I do, I think you’ll love this one.
