
Since Avril Lavigne’s classic hit “Sk8er Boy” first showed skateboarders could be desirable mates, skaters’ lovability has maxxxed out. Just carrying a skateboard today will get you thirsty looks and occasional catcalls. Girls love it, guys love it, everyone loves skateboarders (or at least they think they do).
In an effort to help skateboarders capitalize on their exoticism, we came up with the first (and only) blind dating show that pairs skaters with non-skaters. Follow along as one skater and one normie awkwardly navigate the space between true romance and reality TV.
Whether you skate or don’t, you may catch a glimpse of yourself in these contestants and feel the urge to find a love of your own.
For episode four of “Date A Sk8er,” we set up Steele, a musician / NYC native, with Briana King, a skateboarding model (modeling skateboarder?) and let them wander the bars around Jenkem HQ. A match made in heaven, or the date from hell? Watch to find out…
