An Ali Boulala edit has been sitting on the back burner for sometime now. It wasn’t until my dear friend Keenan approached me with a song titled “Prince Hal’s Dirge,” by Loudon Wainwright 111 which inspired me right away. Keenan felt the lyrics pertained to Ali’s life and we both liked how dramatic it was. I knew I could express Ali’s career through the song and explore who he is in an honest way. Nobody is like Ali. He’s a true individual, whose skating belongs to another period or perhaps another planet. Maybe one day Ali will return to skating and become king. Until then, this is for Ali, my fellow skateboarders and Keenan, an equally unique individual.

Such a nice person. I bet you have edited and put music to tons of videos and are a professional at that. Can we be friends? Your the kind of person I love to be around. But seriously what do you do besides being a judgmental, sociopathic, don’t contribute to society, product spunge cunt type of person?

Awesome! It’s like a collage in motion. The song choice suits Ali and the gaps of silence makes this edit that much more powerful. Way to bring an artistic element to the skate herd. More, please.

I was young, loved skateboarding, getting rowdy and drinking a shit ton. I’m saying, 16, drinking a shit ton. I use to really look up to Ali. He was gnarly but in his own way. I liked the way he skated. He could do a semi decent line, jump down a pile of stairs and make it look like it was just fucking around.
Then when the whole incident happened, and people had left the side show, all he could do when he returned from jail was receive shit tons of hate and scorn. I wish he could still skate, but something tells me it wouldn’t be the same even if he could. So fuck it. I still think Ali is awesome, despite what anyone says.
