In the grand scheme of skateboarding, an extremely small number of people garner the majority of skate media’s attention. And while there are always new faces popping up, we feel that for every skater who gets a spotlight, twenty others get overlooked.
That’s why we’re proud to bring you our new series, Skatepark Profiles. In the segment, we’ll turn the camera on you, getting your background, passions, takes, and more while visiting your local skatepark.
Because it shouldn’t all be about the upper echelon of spoiled, industry-centric skaters. It should also be about the locals, the skaters that truly do it for the love, keeping shops in business and the scene vibrant.
Now we understand that the number of y’all scrolling around our website while not also following us on Instagram or YouTube is pretty low, so if this is old news, feel free to move on.
But for our technology-averse friends, scroll down and check out our first four episodes featuring Chucky, Soo, Sapo, and Elisa.
We’ll be dropping a new profile every Friday here.
