LEFT ON READ: FABIANA DELFINO

July 15, 2025/ / LEFT ON READ

Here’s a conclusion I came to recently. Your best friends are the ones you send memes back and forth with.

Fuck, that would make a great Hallmark card.

But come on, think about it. There’s no quicker way to develop jokes, learn someone’s humor and develop close friendships. Here lies the origins of Left On Read, an interview series where we creep through one of our friends’ phones.

I’m talking notes, camera roll, search histories, movie recommendations, memes, and more.

Today, we’ve unlocked Fabiana Delfino’s phone. Fabi is a staple of the women’s street skateboarding scene, and through the years she’s dropped consistent heat for Santa Cruz, Spitfire, Bronson and others.

It’s hard not to be a fan of Fabi, so enjoy the scroll. And a little secret, her phone password is 42069. Jk, we didn’t get that intel, but we got everything else!

I’m really hyped on running, like I’m fully getting into recreational running. It obviously used to suck, but I get the high now. I just got new shoes, some tech Asics shoes. I’m on Strava, I’m super into it.

There’s this song by MGMT, “Congratulations.” I just rediscovered it, and there’s some lyrics in that song that hit deep. I’m also into “9PM” by ATB. It’s pretty techno, and I’m not really techno at all, but it’s a song I heard as a child and I’m back into it.

Here’s a second angle of me shotgunning a beer while skating downhill. Lately everyone’s been having Twisted Tea’s around, and I’ve been enjoying them.

Hmmm. I’ll find you one, I’m not sure what yet, but I can probably tell you, “Ouch, yeah that hurt a lot. I just really didn’t expect it,” [laughs].

Today’s Wordle answer. Chef Boyardee sale price increase. Georgia tax refund.

I’m not really a meme girl, so this was a hard one to come up with. I find stuff funny, but I don’t really relate. I’m not really with the trends at all.

No Big Deal podcast by Nicole Hause. She’s got like three episodes so far, they’re really good. The Call Her Daddy podcast is pretty good too. They’re funny.

@howhistorylooks. It posts history facts. It’s kinda normy shit, but I really like it.

I have a whole list of quotes on my phone from years ago, like when I first started to go on skate trips. Some are gnarly. “This is the perfect amount of weed. I don’t think we’ll have to smuggle anything back.”

The Pillow App. It tracks my sleep, and I’m always checking. It’ll give you a score out of 100, and it can break down what stage of sleep you’re in, like dreaming or deep sleep. It reads it all off my Apple Watch, like my heart rate and breathing rate. My best score is like a 97.

I have two saved, one is an old Etnies ad for Elissa Steamer. The other is Frank Gewer holding up a cutout of Mia Goth [laughs].

I’ve been watching a lot of videos about old dynasties, like people that own industries or countries. It’s not really about conspiracies, it’s like “Who are the Rockefellers?” Have you heard of the Flaglers? They pretty much developed Florida, and the train system that goes all along Florida. You see their last name everywhere.

Portlandia is playing in the background right now, so I’ll say that. Everyone’s been talking about Love Island, but fuck that. I just watch random shit, like I love TV.

I’m into Buddhist, peace stuff. Not meditation, because I couldn’t meditate if I tried, but like “No Death, No Fear.” is one. They go along with the self help genre, but it’s more learning about yourself, how you can shape your whole world, and how we’re all multiple people.

A movie that I’ve been rewatching a lot lately is Don’t Look Up. It’s the one with Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawerence. It’s a great concept for a movie, it’s like about idiocracy.

I bought lacrosse balls recently. Not to play lacrosse, but they’re really good for rolling out your muscles. They’re better than tennis balls, like tennis balls aren’t stiff enough.
