There are plenty of ways to feel free in this world. Some people strap on a parachute and plummet through the clouds. Some go deep into the woods and grow a beard. Us, we like to rent a 12 person sprinter van and hit the open road.
And just when the itch to bounce out of NYC took hold, we caught wind that the Genius crew was planning a pop-up event with Letter Store in Richmond, Virginia complete with a Lil Jerry Springer show. So, we bum-rushed the rental lot.
What came next was exactly what you’d expect when following a rowdy, early-20s, globe-trotting skate crew. Confusion, chaos, and a schedule that got 86’d about as fast as the first 30-rack of beers got drunk.
Regardless, we hopped from DIY to DIY with support from Monster Energy, pitstopping for one epic night at Castle Bam, before ending with a proper celebration in Richmond. Hop in with us as we recap our trip, set to some Lil Jerry tunes for max viewing pleasure.
