Inspired by Tyshawn Jones’ backside flip across the tracks, Jerome hit us up yesterday afternoon saying he wanted to huck it on a Citi Bike. If you’ve ever been on one of those bikes, you’ll know they are by no means light, and lifting them even just an inch or two off the ground on a bunny hop is a feat on its own. We didn’t know if he had it, to be honest, but he was so amped up and confident about trying it that we encouraged it and had faith.
Jerome asked for some help finding filmers who could help him capture the trick from a couple of angles, and we reached out to about six until two finally stepped up last minute. Angel Delgado and Sam Zentner met Jerome at the subway station and watched as he lugged the bike up and down the stairs and threw himself across the cavernous gap.
Nobody was hurt in the process, and nobody got arrested, so we’ll chalk it up as another W for the Citi Bike Boyz.
