CHECKING OUT RELICS FROM THE SKATEBOARDING HALL OF FAME ARCHIVE

September 9, 2021/ / VIDEOS/ Comments: 2

Skaters will act too cool for school on almost everything, but one thing we’ll openly cherish (maybe more than we ought to) is our subculture’s rich history.

From backyard pools to 15 stair handrails, we have neurotically documented and shared every step of skating’s evolution, and the Skateboarding Hall of Fame Museum is just one of the places where you can let your inner nerd shine.

The founder Todd Huber has been building up the museum collection for decades at this point, going around buying anything and everything he can find that feels like a piece of skate history. To him, a Baker deck from 2013 is as fair game as a Dogtown board from the late ’70s.

We paid him a visit to check out his behind the scenes storage room(s) and get a glimpse of all the goods he’s been quietly amassing in his archives.

Take a look for yourself, and keep in mind that in 30 years some old shmoe will probably want to collect your chipped FA deck with dog shit on the griptape.
