JENK TV: KING’S GUIDE TO LIFE

November 11, 2019/ / VIDEOS/ Comments: 9

Welcome to the first episode of Jenk TV!

We grew up watching MTV and Adult Swim shows Beavis and Butthead, The Tom Green Show, and Tim and Eric, so we thought skateboarding could use a dose of that stoner comedy/goofball editing.

King (who you may remember from our trip to Chinatown earlier this year) seemed like the ideal character for the first episode. A lot skaters come off super bland on camera, but King is a natural. He’s quick to make a joke, he’s not afraid to interact with the common folk, and at 16 years old, he’s one of the more recognizable faces of the LES skate scene.

Thanks for tuning in and leaving absolutely no negative comments whatsoever.

This kid needs some judgement from an older peer. We’ll use a point system:

By the few tricks filmed I can tell he will be really good someday if he sticks with it. +4
Seems like he has a positive attitude which skateboarding needs +4
Friendly / sense of humor: I’d say what’s up to him at a session +4
    Eats at Burger King -4
Eats an impossible burger (very woke) +3
    Liked the impossible burger +2
    Stretches before skating +4
Wearing headphones at park lame -3
Likes Trap / mumble rap (I couldn’t identify it) -3
    Tech Savvy with apps +4

This was entertaining. King represents hope for the youth. He comes out with a score of +15. I wish him the best of luck and I will buy his board someday to help him reach his goal of 35K per month.
