hoagie-grind-2-SMALLER

What’s good about being fat? Not a lot. You sweat more, you look worse, and get treated crappier than skinny people. The same is true in the skateboard world, where tight pant, anorexic, high metabolic teenagers on sugar highs run wild. Bein’ bigger is hard, you break more boards, you slam harder, and your pop is reduced. So props to the following dudes who got it. This goes out to anyone who rides a board that feels alittle big N chunky sometimes. Stay the path!

Stu Graham

If Shriek was human and happened to skateboard, he would be Stu Graham. The jenky teeth, orge evil grin and beer belly. I would be careful if I saw him at my local skatepark. Get in his way one too many times and he might eat you.

Jabari Pendleton

The biggest dude on the list by far and still gettin’ tech on the streets, an extremely rare combination. This is the reason I will be skateboarding forever. You have no excuses to not skate. Ever. 5-0 360 shove it out? Switch Backside Tailslides? Throw this guy a McDonald’s sponsorship!

Ed Templeton

Recently inducted into the realm of fatdom, Ed Templeton isn’t really an OG fatman. In his days before art and chill “just for fun” skating, he was a skinny, groundbreaking skater. Now he just breaks boards, and talks about how he shouldn’t be pro anymore. Although his heavier form might have slowed him down a bit, it doesn’t stop the man from getting his trick on First Try Fridays at The Berrics, where he also endures a mouthful from Reda – A trick in itself.

Andrew Cannon

Funny man Andrew Cannon is def. more of a “full bodied” frame rather then straight fat. One of the few skaters with a college degree, Andrew has fallbacks in case he wants to eat himself to full time fatman or if he suddenly becomes cursed by slow metabolism and a insatiable appetite for hamburgers.

I remember a long time ago there was a video on The Berrics of a guy that had to weigh at least 300 and he did an fs nose blunt on a quarter.

Those guys aren’t even that big. There’s a video on youtube of a dude who’s 330 pounds and he rips pretty hard. Now that guy deserves some respect. I would like to see more videos like The Tired Skateboards trilogy, where it’s all older bigger guys.
